Treasury
Two yield tiers, deposits only with your confirmation or pre-approved permission, redeem anytime, risks, and related articles.
What is Treasury?
Echlon Treasury lets you put unused USD to work by moving funds from checking into managed yield products. Nothing is allocated without your confirmation or pre-approved permission: open the Treasury page, choose a product, enter an amount, and confirm a deposit from checking, or turn on Move deposits to treasury in Settings → Payments. Until you do, your checking balance stays in checking and does not earn Treasury yield. Once you have moved funds, yield may accrue, but Treasury carries smart-contract, protocol, liquidity, stablecoin, and market risks.
How it works
From your dashboard, you can move USD from your checking balance into one of two yield products:
Designed for lower-volatility USDC yield strategies. It still carries smart-contract, protocol, liquidity, stablecoin, and market risks, including possible loss and delayed access to funds.
Think of this like an investment. It is a higher-return product for users comfortable with additional risk — your funds are allocated to strategies that target greater returns through diversified sources. Returns may be higher, but so is the potential for fluctuation. Best for funds you can afford to leave allocated for longer and are comfortable exposing to more variability.
Both products are fully managed on the backend — after you confirm a deposit from checking, yield accrues automatically inside the product. You can submit a redemption request at any time, but processing is subject to market, protocol, and liquidity conditions. No active management or financial expertise is required on your part. You choose how much to allocate to each product and can submit allocation changes at any time.
Depositing & redeeming
Navigate to the Treasury tab in your dashboard, choose your preferred yield product, enter the amount, and confirm.
You can request a Treasury redemption at any time, with no lock-up or penalty. In normal conditions, redeemed funds are processed quickly back to checking. Timing is not guaranteed: redemptions may be delayed during abnormal market stress, protocol disruption, high utilization, liquidity constraints, network disruption, or other conditions affecting the underlying strategy.
Fees
Echlon does not charge monthly account fees. Treasury products may charge an annual management fee that depends on the specific pool/strategy. There is no performance fee. Any applicable Treasury-related fees are disclosed in the product experience before you confirm.
Timing
In normal conditions, deposits and redemptions are processed quickly. Timing is not guaranteed, and processing may be delayed during abnormal market stress, protocol disruption, high utilization, liquidity constraints, network disruption, or other conditions affecting the underlying strategy.
Where your funds go
When you deposit into Treasury, your funds are allocated into a managed yield strategy. For the technical deep dive on how the current strategy works under the hood, see DeFi & yield.
Investments coming soon
In the future, Echlon will also offer an Investments section where you can access stocks, digital assets, and other tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) — all from within your Echlon account. This will be a separate area from Treasury and will be announced when available.
Risks & disclosures
Treasury yield products carry risk. Please be aware of the following:
- Yield rates are not guaranteed and may fluctuate. Past performance does not indicate future results.
- Yield may decrease or cease entirely depending on market conditions.
- Checking and Treasury balances are not FDIC-insured bank deposits and are not covered by FDIC, FSCS, or any equivalent deposit insurance scheme.
- Yield strategies rely on third-party protocols and smart contracts. Even when audited, these systems carry technical and operational risks. A failure in an underlying protocol could affect returns or access to funds.
- Regulatory treatment of yield products is evolving and may change over time.
- Nothing on the Echlon platform constitutes investment advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation.
- In rare cases of extreme market disruption, access to your funds may be temporarily delayed while positions are unwound. This is an uncommon scenario, but it is possible and worth understanding before allocating funds.
You should only allocate funds to Treasury that you can afford to have exposed to these risks.
