Receiving payments
Share receive instructions by corridor, how senders pay you with ordinary bank transfers, and how funds settle into Checking.
Receiving payments
Get paid from anywhere — share your account details with clients, employers, or anyone who needs to send you money. Funds arrive in your Checking balance.
How it works
- Go to Payments → Receive in your dashboard.
- Select the currency you want to receive in.
- Copy your account details and share them with your sender.
- Your sender sends a normal bank transfer using those details.
- Funds arrive in your Checking balance.
Your sender doesn't need an Echlon account. They send from their regular bank, and the payment arrives through standard banking corridors.
Your account details by corridor
United States (USD)
You receive a US virtual account with:
- Routing number (ABA)
- Account number
- Beneficiary name (your registered name)
- Bank name and address
Supported rails: ACH (1–3 business days), Wire (same day), and RTP (minutes).
Your sender chooses which rail to use from their bank — ACH is the most common for domestic US transfers.
Eurozone (EUR)
You receive a EUR virtual account with:
- IBAN
- BIC
- Account type
- Bank name and address
Brazil (BRL)
You receive a PIX code that your sender can use from any Brazilian bank.
- PIX transfers settle same day, usually within seconds.
- Your sender scans the code or copies the PIX key on their banking app to complete the payment.
Mexico (MXN)
You receive a CLABE (18-digit standardized account number).
- SPEI transfers settle same day.
- Your sender enters the CLABE in their bank's transfer form.
Colombia (COP)
You receive a PSE payment link — PSE (Pagos Seguros en Línea) is Colombia's standard online banking transfer system, used by all major Colombian banks. Your sender clicks the link and completes the transfer through their own bank's interface.
- Settlement: same day to 1 business day.
Argentina (ARS)
You receive local transfer details:
- Account details — You receive a CBU or CVU (22-digit Argentine bank account number) and an account alias. Your sender enters these in their bank's transfer form.
- Settlement: 1–2 business days.
International (SWIFT)
For receiving international wires from outside the supported corridors above, you can share your USD account details along with the SWIFT/BIC code. International wires typically take 1–5 business days.
Notifications
You'll receive an in-app notification and email when funds arrive in your Checking balance. You can manage notification preferences in Settings.
What if the sender uses the wrong details?
If a sender uses incorrect or outdated account details, the payment will typically be rejected by the banking system and returned to them. You will not see a failed inbound payment in your account — the sender should check with their bank.
Converting received funds
Funds are automatically converted to USDC when they arrive in your Checking balance. You can review the exchange rate applied to any inbound payment in your transaction history. See Fees & limits for FX rates.
Receiving limits
There is no fee to receive payments. There are no set limits on receiving payments. Large inbound transfers may be subject to standard compliance review by our banking partners – if a payment is held, you'll be notified. See Fees & limits for the full breakdown.
