Sending payments

Supported rails and SWIFT, FX under half a percent on most corridors, how pricing works, tracking, failures, and cancellations.

Sending payments

Send money to recipients in the US, the Eurozone, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and others — with FX rates under 0.5% and same-day settlement on most corridors.

How it works

  1. Go to Payments → Send in your dashboard.
  2. Add or select a recipient — you'll need their name, country, and bank details.
  3. Enter the amount. You'll see the exchange rate, fees, and estimated arrival time before confirming.
  4. Review and confirm. We send the payment right away, or right after an earlier payment from your account that is still on its way.

Your recipient receives a standard bank deposit in their local currency. They don't need an Echlon account.

What your recipient sees

Your recipient receives a normal bank deposit like any other in their local currency from our licensed partners.

FX rates and fees

You'll see the rate and fees before you confirm. If we have to update the price before sending, for example because your payment waits for an earlier one from your account, your recipient still gets the same amount, but the amount taken from your balance can change. If your balance doesn't cover the new amount, the payment fails and nothing is taken. Check out Fees & limits for full pricing details.

Tracking your payment

You can track every payment in Transactions. Status updates include:

  • Pending — Payment submitted, being processed.
  • Processing — Funds are moving through the payment corridor.
  • Completed — Funds deposited to recipient's bank account.

You'll receive a notification when the payment completes.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, funds are returned to your Checking balance automatically. You can check the reason in transaction history before retrying.

If incorrect details were entered, wait for the payment to fail before retrying with the correct information. Always review recipient details carefully and save them for future use.

Cancellations

Once a payment is confirmed, it generally cannot be cancelled as funds are immediately routed through the payment corridor. If you believe a payment was sent in error, contact [email protected] as soon as possible — we will work with our banking partners to attempt recovery, but this cannot be guaranteed. You can also review Troubleshooting.
